Brian Woodell - Broker Associate
Brian Woodell joined Fortius Commercial Advisors, formerly the NAI Mountain Commercial team, in January 2013 to continue his real estate career as a broker associate. Brian is directly involved with brokerage and leasing efforts with Fortius Commercial Advisors, providing his expertise in retail, office, warehouse, investment, and multi-family properties in the Vail Valley. Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Brian moved to the mountains of Colorado upon graduating from the University of Denver with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Before entering the US Army Brian was a full-time ski instructor with the Vail Ski School which prepared him to teach skiing to Special Forces troops in Hokkaido, Japan. Assignments as an intelligence officer took him to South East Asia, with the First Special Forces Group and Europe with the Third Armor Division.
After over four years of military service and world travel, Brian returned to the Valley as a part-time Vail ski instructor and began utilizing his business skills as a partner in Sunrise Limited, a successful retail ski shop, in the Lionshead retail core of Vail. In 1979, he relocated back to his roots in the San Francisco Bay Area and started his career in commercial real estate, specializing in a comprehensive approach to retail, office, and industrial real estate development with emphasis placed on site selection for regional and national tenants. He later joined Signature Properties of Pleasanton, California handling their commercial real estate portfolio and selling homes for one of the state’s leading home builders. Brian returned to the Vail Valley in 1995 joining Slifer Smith & Frampton Real Estate where he established a reputation as one of the top commercial real estate specialists in the Valley. Brian continues to provide his commercial real estate clients with a unique approach to the Valley’s real estate market possessing a broad understanding of how to deliver top-quality service coupled with over 40 years of real-world experience.
